Partnering Missionaries

John and Abby Fisher

Fargo, North Dakota

John is a Nehemiah Church Planter in the Fargo, ND-Moorhead,Minnesota area of the Northern Plains.  He is a bi-vocational missionary - working at a restaurant in Downtown Fargo along with church planting.  He and Abby are investing their time by living intentionally in the downtown area.  They are beginning to see much fruit come from the relationships the Lord has brought to them.  The prayer of Mission Fargo is that through intentional evangelism, new churches will be born.

John and Abby moved to the Fargo area in July of 2008.  For the past 9 months they have been studying the culture and way of life of these Northern Plains peoples.  It is their hope and prayer that the relationships they have made will result in a Bible study in their home in the next few months.

Please join John and Abby in praying for the salvation of these relationships they have made.  Please pray specifically for Sam and Robby, Susan and Drew, Sara and Alex, Sonda, Rick, and Jessica and Reed.  John and Abby are excited about the mission teams that will be investing their time in the Fargo-Moorhead area this summer and fall.  Please pray that through these teams, the love of Christ will be spread even further around town.

John and Abby are expecting their first child at the beginning of March.

Christ Fellowship Church Plant

Christ Fellowship is a High Impact Church Plant of the Kentucky Baptist Convention in the downtown area of Bowling Green, KY. Christ Fellowship is lead by a group of three church planters and their wives: Brian and Julie Curtis, Lance and Rebecca Parrott, and Jody Sledge. All three men are graduates of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and natives of Bowling Green. The church plant was conceived out of a three-fold desire in downtown Bowling Green. God has given the team a vision to exalt the name of Jesus Christ, to edify the church, and to embrace the city. These men all desired to have a ministry that centered upon the Lordship of Christ, being solely devoted to him. They also desired to have a growing church that would love Christ and serve him. And lastly, they desired to grow a church that would be the hands and feet of Christ, acting with compassion towards the many hurting and neglected people of the Enterprise District in downtown Bowling Green.

Christ Fellowship held its Launch Celebration Service on February 1st, 2009. Pray that the Lord would continue to bless Christ Fellowship and the church planting team as they seek to be faithful to God's call to reach the downtown area of Bowling Green. Pray that we would see men and women, boys and girls come to know the saving work of Jesus Christ by his death and resurrection.
